Tesla Malaysia is now offering free paint, wheels, and interior upgrades for the Model 3. This limited-time offer was revealed through Tesla Malaysia’s Instagram story.
Tesla Model 3 is currently the 6th most popular EV in Malaysia this year, according to JPJ’s registration data. Comes with a starting price of RM181,000, the electric sedan is available in 3 variants, including Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD), and Performance AWD.
By default, Model 3 in Malaysia comes with the Stealth Grey colourway, 18-inch Photon Wheels (except for the Performance variant), and Black interior. At the same time, Tesla also provides some options if you want to switch them.
Here’s how much you usually have to pay for the optional upgrades:
- Pearl White Multi-Coat / Deep Blue Metallic / Diamond Black: RM5,000
- Quicksilver / Ultra Red: RM11,000
- 19-inch Nova Wheels: RM7,500
- Black and White Interior: RM5,000
The wheel upgrade is not available for the Model 3 Performance, though. This is because the variant has been fitted with the higher-end 20-inch forged Warp Wheels.
There are some terms attached to the free upgrade offer
Interestingly enough, there are some terms and conditions that you need to adhere, in order to take advantage of the free upgrades.
For example, you can choose only one from the three available upgrades. So, let’s you want to switch the colour of your Model 3 from the default Stealth Grey to Ultra Red, you have to pay for wheel and interior upgrades if you want them as well.
Tesla also noted that this offer is only available for limited units and they have to be delivered by the end of this month. This means that you have to book the Model 3 as soon as you can if you want to take advantage of these free upgrades.
