If you’re looking for a 4G smartphone with a big display without breaking the bank, Xiaomi Malaysia has announced the Poco C85 for our local market. This is a sub-RM500 smartphone and if you order one during the early bird promo, it is now going for as low as RM399.
Despite being a budget phone, it boasts a large 6,000mAh battery and features a quad-curved back for a more comfortable feel.
Poco C85 Malaysia Price and Early Bird Promo
The Poco C85 comes in two RAM and storage configurations and here’s the official pricing in Malaysia. As usual, there’s an early bird promo if you order from 1st to 16th September:
- Poco C85 6GB + 128GB – RM439 (Promo: RM399)
- Poco C85 8GB + 256GB – RM499 (Promo: RM459)
The smartphone is officially available in Malaysia via the official store on Shopee, Mi.com and Lazada.
Poco C85 Specs and Features
The Poco C85 features a 6.9″ “Dot Drop” 120Hz HD 720p (1600×720 pixels resolution) display that boasts a peak brightness of 810 nits. Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra processor that’s paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
If you need more storage, you an expand up to 1TB via microSD card expansion.
In the camera department, the C85 gets a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and an disclosed secondary lens. Meanwhile, over at the front, it gets an 8MP selfie camera in a notch.
Powering the device is a 6,000mAh battery and it supports 33W fast charging via USB-C. As mentioned earlier, this is a 4G smartphone and it supports dual-SIM. It has IP64-rated dust and water resistance, 3.5mm audio jack, side fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock and NFC. Out of the box, it runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android, with support for Circle to Search with Google and Google Gemini.
If you can increase your budget slightly, the Poco M7 would be a better option as it features a Full HD display, faster UFS 2.2 storage and a larger 7,000mAh battery.
