Vivo has officially launched its latest premium mid-range smartphone, the Vivo V60, here in Malaysia. Offered in three configurations, the V60 sports a new Berry Purple colour, along with upgrades such as a new Zeiss-tuned periscope telephoto camera, a larger battery, and an upgraded processor.

Offered in three shades — Mist Gray, Summer Blue, and the hero Berry Purple colour, the Vivo V60 is rated at IP68/69 for dust and water resistance, allowing the phone to last underwater at up to 1.5m in depth and for a duration of 120 minutes.
Display-wise, the V60 comes with a 6.77″ Full HD+ 120Hz LTPS AMOLED display. The panel outputs a resolution of 2392×1080 pixels, 5,000 nits peak brightness, and is shielded by a 3D curved glass front. Vivo says its bezels are as thin as 1.86mm at the sides.
Powering the Vivo V60 in Malaysia is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
In the imaging department, you get an array of cameras co-developed by Zeiss. This includes a 50MP f/1.9 main camera with OIS, an 8MP f/2.0 ultra-wide-angle shooter, and an OIS-equipped 50MP f/2.7 periscope telephoto camera that can optically zoom up to 3x. This is the first time a telephoto shooter has returned to the Vivo V series since the V40 Pro.
Like its predecessor, the Vivo V60 also sports the brand’s Aura Light 2.0 circular flashlight. For selfies, you get a 50MP f2.2 front camera., The V60 is capable of shooting videos at up to 4K/30fps with its rear and front cameras.
Vivo has also included a series of imaging AI features with the V60. This includes AI Four-Season Portrait, AI Erase 3.0, AI Reflection Erase, AI Magic Move, AI Image Expander, and AI Photo Enhance.
Keeping the lights on for the Vivo V60 is a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, which can be charged at 90W via Vivo’s FlashCharge technology using USB-C.
The Vivo V60 runs on the brand’s Funtouch OS 15 software, which is built atop Google’s Android 15. Vivo has promised to provide the V60 with up to 4 years of major OS upgrades and 6 years of security upgrades.
You also get AI features such as Google Gemini, AI Smart Call Assistant, and AI Captions. As for connectivity, you get 5G, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.
