In fact, the Redmi Pad 2 series is offered with an early bird promo between 20th and 30th June.

If you purchase the tablet via Xiaomi’s physical stores, you will get a free cover. Purchasing the tablet via the brand’s official online platforms mentioned above will also get you an additional Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active. But if you’re getting the WiFi model, the cover is already included as standard.

Redmi Pad 2 series Malaysia: Specs and features

The Redmi Pad 2 features a glass front and an aluminium body. After trying out the tablet, I gotta say it’s a solidly built tablet, especially when considering its price point.

Colour options include Graphite Grey and Mint Green for the 4G variant, while the WiFi model includes an additional Lavender Purple option.

At the front of the Redmi Pad 2 is an 11″ 2.5K (2560×1600) IPS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, resulting in a pixel density of 274ppi. With outdoor mode turned on, this display can reach a peak brightness of 600 nits.

Powering the Redmi Pad 2 is MediaTek’s Helio G100-Ultra chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Keeping lights on is a 9,000mAh battery that can be charged at 18W via its USB-C port. There’s also a trusty 3.5mm headphone for those of you who prefer a wired solution over wireless.

Speaking of wireless, you get WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and also 4G if you go for the Redmi Pad 2 4G, which comes with two 4G SIM card slots. Furthermore, the Redmi Pad 2 also comes with a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support.

Imaging-wise, the Redmi Pad 2 comes with an 8MP f/2.0 rear camera at the back and a 5MP f/2.2 front camera. The tablet runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, built atop Android 15.
