TNB Electron EV charger at Aeon Taman Universiti is now online, free charging for limited time

TNBX has expanded TNB Electron’s footprint once again by adding Johor to its coverage map. The Southern state is now home to two new TNB Electron DC chargers.

TNB Electron Aeon Mall Taman Universiti is now open for business

One of them is located at the Aeon Taman Universiti Shopping Centre near Skudai, Johor Bahru. The new location features a 47kW Autel MaxiCharger DC charger with two CCS2 nozzles which TNBX has previously used at several Aeon Malls including Kota Bharu, Seri Manjung, Kinta City, and Taiping.

As per tradition, TNBX currently offers free charging for a limited time with the new charger. Usually priced at RM1.35 per kWh, EV owners can enjoy free charging at TNB Electron Aeon Mall Taman Universiti until 11:59 PM on Thursday, 23 January.

For those who are not familiar with TNB Electron chargers, they can be activated through the Go To-U app. Since the Go To-U app allows users to book the charger in advance, you may want to check its availability before you rush off to Aeon Mall Taman Universiti to enjoy the free charging offer.

TNB Electron Aeon Mall Bandar Dato’ Onn to go live on 23 Jan

Meanwhile, we also got word that TNBX will activate another TNB Electron charger in Johor tomorrow. This particular charger is located at Aeon Mall Bandar Dato’ Onn which is just around 20km away from Aeon Taman Universiti Shopping Centre.

Over there, TNBX has also installed a 47kW Autel MaxiCharger DC charger with a pair of CCS2 nozzles. Since the charger has yet to appear on the Go To-U app, the official charging fee is not yet available at the moment but we expect to be set at RM1.35 per kWh as well.

Similarly, it is unclear whether there will be free charging once the charger is open to the public. So, stay tuned as we will keep you updated once we receive more information about the new TNB Electron charger at Aeon Mall Bandar Dato’ Onn.
