Want to buy and drive away a new Tesla Model Y without waiting for days or weeks? Tesla Malaysia has announced that in response to the increasing demand for the Tesla Model Y, they have introduced a new “Approve & Drive” campaign for readily available Model Y stocks in partnership with Maybank.
Under the campaign, Tesla says customers can purchase a Model Y and pick-up on the same day. The fully electric SUV is offered with monthly payments starting from as low as RM1,810 per month with a 84-month term. This offer is available for ready stocks only and customers must complete and take delivery on or before 30th June 2024 to enjoy the exclusive offers.
If you’re interested, you can check out Tesla Malaysia’s available inventory online and the promo applies to all trims of the ready-stock Model Y which include Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range and Performance Models. To enjoy the special financing deals, customers can choose to take up a 60-month or 84-month payment term from Tesla’s selected financiers.
However, a minimum down payment of 20% is required for the 60-month term and 25% for the longer 84-month option. Tesla added that the final financing details and approvals are at the discretion of the customer’s selected financier.
In order to enjoy the immediate delivery offer, customers (Individuals & Guarantors with fixed income) must prepare their financing requirements at the time of purchase. The required documentation is as follows:
- NRIC
- Driving License (applicant only)
- Passport and Employment/ Contract Letter for foreigner
- Latest 1 month salary slip/ voucher and
- Confirmation on plate number preference
- Latest EA form or EPF statement or employment confirmation or 3 months Bank/ Passbook Statement or ASB/ ASN or BE Form with tax receipt shall be referred as second income documents.
- Spouse details (NRIC and latest 1 month proof of income if to support the household income)
Of course, the same-day pickup campaign is also subject to the approval of the banks as well as the necessary registration process by JPJ which are operational during working days only.
To recap, the Tesla Model Y now starts from RM191,000 for the base RWD model with 455km range and the Long Range AWD model with 533km range is going for RM238,000. Meanwhile, the range-topping Tesla Model Y Performance with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.7 seconds is now going for RM280,000.
