Predator Triton Neo 16: Intel Core Ultra 9, RTX 4070 and 16″, 165Hz display for RM9,999

Acer had only recently launched their compact flagship gaming laptop in Malaysia last month, the Predator Helios Neo 14, but if you were hoping for something a little larger then they’ve got you covered too. The Taiwanese giant has just announced the Predator Triton Neo 16 in Malaysia, a gaming laptop that not only has powerful hardware under the hood but also a large 16-inch, high resolution, high refresh rate display.

Acer Predator Triton Neo 16 Malaysia pricing and availability

The Predator Triton Neo 16 is already on sale in Malaysia in a single configuration packing an Intel Core Ultra 9, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, 32B of RAM and a 1TB SSD. It’s priced at RM9,999, and you can find it not only on the Acer Malaysia eStore but also the official Acer store on Shopee and Lazada as well as Acer authorised retailers nationwide.

On top of that, Acer Malaysia will be giving away a free Acer Melbourne Luggage 20″ worth RM999 to anyone who purchase a Predator Triton Neo 16 before 25 June 2024. You’ll also be able to participate in their lucky draw to stand a chance to win a pair of tickets for a trip to the VCT Pacific Season Finals in South Korea worth up to RM10,000; you can enter the lucky draw by clicking here.

Acer Predator Triton Neo 16 specs

The Predator Triton Neo 16 features a large 16-inch IPS display in a 16:10 aspect ratio, pushing a 3.2K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate along with support for NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC. It also is a Calman Verified display giving you full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, meaning it could be used for not only gaming but also colour critical work such as photo and video editing.

Under the hood, the Predator Triton Neo 16 packs an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor mated to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 5600MHz and a 1TB PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD. There’s an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 too for your games, giving the Triton Neo 16 a total TDP of 255W in a chassis that’s only 18.82mm thin and 2.05kg. All that hardware is kept cool with 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D Fan technology as well as liquid metal thermal grease on the silicon.

As for I/O, the Predator Triton Neo 16 packs in a full function USB-C port, another USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, a HDMI port, two USB-A 3.2 ports, a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also has an Intel Killer WiFi 6E AX1675i WiFi module supporting WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity. There’s also an RGB backlit keyboard, a fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, a 76Wh battery and the PredatorSense app preinstalled for easy system tweaking.
