Yes 5G Postpaid subscribers can now enjoy affordable data roaming in 11 Asian countries with their new Yes Roam ASEAN Plus pass. This is an “unlimited” data roaming pass that allows you to stay connected in multiple countries with a single pass.

Whether you’re making a day trip or travelling for a couple of days, the Yes Roam ASEAN Plus pass is offered in 3 duration options. The single-day pass with 1GB of high-speed data costs RM10 while the 3-day pass with 5GB of high-speed data costs RM20.

If you’re travelling for several days in the region, the best value is the 7-day pass with 10GB of data for just RM30.

The Yes Roam ASEAN Pass covers the following 11 countries:

  • Brunei
  • Cambodia
  • China
  • Hong Kong
  • Indonesia
  • Laos
  • Macau
  • Philippines
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

Singapore isn’t included in the list as Yes 5G Infinite Postpaid currently provides free unlimited 5G roaming for Singapore, with up to 10GB of high-speed data per month. If you’re on other Yes postpaid plans, you can enable “Unlimited” data roaming with 1GB of high-speed data for RM8 per day.

After depleting the high-speed quota, you can still get connected but at a slower 512kbps download speed. To regain high-speeds, you can top up your quota by activating another roaming pass via the MyYes app.

Before enabling Data Roaming on your device when you reach the destination, make sure that you’re connected to the preferred roaming operator. According to the FAQ, users will be charged with Pay-As-You-Use rates if roam with a non-telco partner. You can check the list of supported roaming partners by selecting the destination on Yes 5G’s roaming page.

The pass is offered only for Yes 5G postpaid users and it can be pre-booked via the MyYesApp up to 30 days in advance. If your travel plans change, you can cancel the pass at least 24 hours before the indicated travel date.
