[ UPDATE 6/06/2024 21:20 ] CelcomDigi has updated that its 1Gbps fibre plan offers 500Mbps upload.

===

CelcomDigi has reduced its highest 1Gbps fibre broadband offering by another RM40/month for new customers. This comes just 7 months after the telco revised its fibre broadband offering following the implementation of the new Mandatory Standard of Access Pricing (MSAP) last year.

CelcomDigi has also discontinued its 50Mbps and 800Mbps plans, reducing its total new fibre broadband options from six to just four. The monthly subscription for 100Mbps, 300Mbps and 500Mbps, remains unchanged.

CelcomDigi’s 1Gbps standalone fibre broadband offering was previously going for RM289/month and it is now going for RM249/month, which is a RM40/month reduction. The plan comes with a free Premium WiFi 6 router, mesh node and standard installation.

As usual, the fibre broadband plans are tied to a 24-month contract period.

However, if you sign up for the fibre broadband plan as an existing CelcomDigi Postpaid customer, you can enjoy additional perks. The 1Gbps fibre broadband plan can be yours for RM239/month as part of CelcomDigi’s RM10 monthly rebate (RM240 in total) during the contract period.

CelcomDigi Fibre 1Gbps offers 1Gbps download and 500Mbps upload (Updated).

[ UPDATE 6/06/2024 21:20 ] CelcomDigi has updated that its 1Gbps fibre plan offers 500Mbps upload.

According to CelcomDigi’s FAQ, the 1Gbps plan from Celcom only offers an upload speed of 200Mbps 500Mbps. It also added that all CelcomDigi FIbre plans are running on private dynamic IP.

As a comparison, both Maxis and TM Unifi are also currently offering their 1Gbps fibre broadband plan for RM249/month and both provide a higher 500Mbps for upload. If you’re residing in an area with Time fibre coverage, their 1Gbps plan is going for RM199/month and it also offers an upload speed of 500Mbps.
