Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) has announced that the DC chargers at ICOM Square in Kuching are no longer free. Launched five months ago in partnership with Gentari, the ICOM Square location is their first EV charging hub in Sarawak and it was the fastest public DC charger in Borneo.
Starting tomorrow, 20th February 2024, the 180kW and 50kW DC chargers at ICOM Square will be priced at RM1.40 per kWh. According to SEB, they remain committed to providing reliable and efficient charging services for EVs. Customers who face technical issues with the charger can contact their customer support hotline at 011-1095-2675.
The 180kW DC charger has two CCS2 nozzles with dynamic power sharing, capable of pushing up to 180kW when one EV is plugged in. Meanwhile, the 50kW DC charger unit has AC Type-2 (up to 11kW), CCS2 (up to 50kW) and CHAdeMO (up to 50kW) nozzles. These chargers can be activated via the Setel or JomCharge app. Gentari has also deployed a 180kW DC Charger at CityOne MegaMall (60kW max per nozzle) in Kuching but it is priced at RM1.40 per minute.
