Acer Aspire Vero 16 is the brand’s first carbon-neutral laptop with the new Intel Core Ultra processor

Launched in time for CES 2024, the new Acer Aspire Vero 16 is the brand’s latest laptop under the Vero product line, with this year’s edition featuring the all-new Intel Core Ultra processor, as well as following strict international standards to keep the new Aspire Vero 16 carbon neutral. This model is the successor to last year’s Acer Aspire Vero 14.

Intel Core Ultra processor with AI Boost

The latest Vero comes with Intel’s latest Core Ultra processor, which boasts Intel AI Boost and also has Wi-Fi 7 compatibility. In this model, Acer selected the Intel Core Ultra 7 model. The laptop can utilise the Windows 11 Copilot’s centralized generative AI to intelligently assist users in navigating across their devices.

The screen on the Vero 16 is a 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) with a 16:10 aspect ratio while covering 100% of the sRGB colour space. There is also a WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) touchscreen option available. Other features include Bluetooth LE Audio, two USB-C ports (both Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4) as well as a full HDMI 2.1 port.

There is also the AcerSense app to manage the laptop’s battery consumption and Intel Unison 2.0 for seamless connectivity and multi-device experience across connected devices such as laptops, smartphones and tablets. Acer claims that the laptop will see a 10.5 hour battery life on a single charge.

Crystal-clear video and audio are delivered on the AI PC’s 1440p QHD webcam with AI-assisted Acer PurifiedVoice to stay clear of unwanted noise when conferencing. The Windows 11 laptop is also equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory which supports up to 2 TB dual PCIe Gen 4 SSD of upgradable storage.

The Aspire Vero 16 comes in one finish – Cobblestone Gray. As part of the carbon neutrality construction, the tactile chassis’ texture contains no volatile organic compounds, paint, or additives, and is made with 60% PCR material, resulting in less CO₂ emissions during production. Additionally, the laptop uses the OceanGlass^™ touchpad, made with ocean-bound plastic, and is shipped in 100% recycled packaging,

Acer Aspire Vero 16 global pricing

The Acer Aspire Vero 16 will be available from April 2024 onwards with a recommended retail price of US$749.99 (about RM 3,487) with specifications that may vary by region. There is no official Malaysian availability of pricing as of press time.
