[ UPDATE 20/12/2023 13:00 ] Realme GT3 officially launched in Malaysia, priced at RM2,799.

Ten months on since it first made its debut on the global stage, the Realme GT3 is finally heading to Malaysia. The Chinese manufacturer is bringing the world’s fastest charging smartphone to our shores this 20th December, but you can already pre-order one for yourself today and if you do, you’ll even walk away with free gifts worth up to RM928.

Realme GT3 Malaysia pre-order promo

Available for pre-order from today till 21 December, if you’d like to pre-order the Realme GT3 you can do so by heading over to your nearest Realme Brand Store; full availability will be from 22 December onwards. Realme hasn’t revealed the full price of the Realme GT3 just yet though, so those of you interested will first have to pay a pre-order deposit.

There will be two pre-order bundles available for the Realme GT3. The first is the regular Realme GT3 pre-order bundle, which requires a deposit of RM30 and will come with a free Realme TechLife Air Purifier Pro worth RM799. Alternatively, for a deposit of RM50, you can instead get the air purifier as well as a pair of Realme Buds T100 wireless earbuds and a limited edition gift box. You’ll have to be quick though, as the pre-order promo is on a first come, first serve basis while stocks last.

Realme GT3 specs

The Realme GT3 may not be considered the ‘latest and greatest’ flagship smartphone anymore, but it’s still very much a capable device in its own right. It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 system-on-chip under the hood, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage, complete with Android 13 out of the box skinned with RealmeUI 4.0 over it.

Its display meanwhile is a 6.74-inch, Ultra AMOLED panel pushing a resolution of 2772 x 1240p with a refresh rate of 144Hz, a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a peak brightness of 1,400nits and full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. On the back, you’ll find a triple rear camera setup with a main 50MP, f/1.88 camera using the Sony IMX890 sensor flanked by an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide camera and a 2MP, f/3.3 micro lens, while a 16MP, f/2.45 front facing camera handles your selfie needs.

Of course, it’s most unique feature here is its 4,600mAh battery with support for 240W fast charging. This rapid fast charging lets it go from an empty tank to a 20% charge in just 80 seconds, and can go to 50% in just four minutes. A full charge from zero to a hundred also only takes just nine and a half minutes.

Other features of note include stereo speakers, an IR blaster and an in-display fingerprint sensor. There’s also support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and 5G wireless connectivity. You’ll find a Halo Ring next to the camera island that can be customised with a total of 25 colours too and act as a notification light. The Realme GT3 will be available in Racing Purple and Pulse White.
