Alongside the sub-1kg ExpertBook B9 OLED, Asus Malaysia has also introduced the ExpertBook B6 Flip to our shores. Unlike your usual 2-in-1 flippable laptop though, the ExpertBook B6 Flip features some impressive hardware typically found only in mobile workstations.
For starters, Asus has kitted out the ExpertBook B6 Flip with a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12850HX, a powerful 16-core processor with eight performance cores and eight efficiency cores that can boost to up to 4.80GHz. That gets mated to 32GB of DDR5 4800MHz RAM, though it can handle up to 128GB of RAM if you wish. Similarly, it comes with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD but you can have it take up to 4TB of SSD storage. You’ll also find a workstation-grade NVIDIA GeForce RTX A2000 laptop graphics card for your creative and professional needs.
As for its display, the ExpertBook B6 Flip gets a 16-inch, 16:10 IPS display pushing a 2560 x 1600p resolution. It has a peak brightness of 500nits, covers the full DCI-P3 colour gamut, and works with an optional MPP 2.0-compatible stylus too. Above it meanwhile is a FHD IR webcam along with a privacy shield, while a 90Wh battery keeps the lights on. There’s also a discrete TPM 2.0 chip for extra security, as well as a quad-speaker Harman Kardon speaker setup, a dual multi array mic and a fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello login.
The ExpertBook B6 Flip has a healthy amount of I/O too, with two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a HDMI 2.0b port, an RJ45 Ethernet port, a mini DisplayPort, a card reader and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Asus adds that the ExpertBook B6 Flip has been certified by independent software vendors too to ensure that it will work well with popular software across various industries such as architecture, engineering, manufacturing, product design and creative applications.
Asus says that the ExpertBook B6 Flip will be available in Malaysia from their various retail partners, with a price tag of RM11,999. For more information about the ExpertBook B6 Flip, you can check out its product page on the Asus Malaysia website here.
