New TCL smart TV models and features

Four new series will be available in the Malaysian market by the end of October – the C645, C755, C845 and the P745. Each series shares similar features – Google TV, AiPQ processors – but each also has its own stand-out features and designs.

Take the C645 series for example. It is designed for everyone, with screen sizes ranging from 32-85 inches and features QLED technology for better colour reproduction, blacker blacks and clear pictures, even under bright lighting conditions.

It supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and AI-Picture-Quality optimization thanks to the AipQ Engine 3.0. The engine helps to optimize for contrast, clarity and 4K resolution. The TV also supports AMD Freesync for high refresh rate gaming, up to 120Hz as well as HDMI 2.1 support for low-latency gaming on screen.

The C845 meanwhile brings to the table Mini LED backlight technology for high contrast and pin-point lighting across the big screen. Available in 65 and 75 inches, the panel has a max brightness of 2,000 nits. It boasts a wide colour gamut, covering 97% of the DCI-P3 standard which promises a richer range of colours on screen.

TCL’s AiPQ Processor 3.0 works to optimise images on screen with five different Ai-Picture-Quality algorithms: Ai-Contrast, Ai-Color, Ai-Clarity, Ai-Motion, and Ai-HDR. All five work automatically to adjust the image for an optimal viewing experience.

It comes with the IMAX Enhanced certification via Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos while the 120Hz MEMC capability allows for smoother motion rendering, even in high-speed scenes in movies and games. Gamers will appreciate the AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification along with HDMI 2.1 support for seamless, high-refresh-rate gaming.

Going big is the motto for the 98-inch models under the C755 and P745 models. The Quantum Dot panel, with Mini LED backlight technology, gives the TV the best chance to deliver cinema-like quality, especially with a 1,300 nits peak brightness and local area dimming. It also has all the other features such as Google TV, Dolby Vision and even Game Mode with AMD FreeSync.
