The Samsung Galaxy M34 5G has arrived in Malaysia and is now available exclusively through Shopee. This mid-range 5G smartphone boasts a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation and a large 6,000mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy M34 5G with 128GB storage officially retails for RM1,399 in Malaysia. As part of its introductory offer, you can purchase it today (10th October 2023) for only RM999 via Samsung Malaysia’s official store on Shopee.
At the moment, the phone is only offered in two colour options – Waterfall Blue and Midnight Blue.
Samsung Galaxy M34 5G Specs and Features
The Samsung Galaxy M34 5G features a 6.5″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits of brightness. The processor wasn’t mentioned on the local product page but Samsung India has announced that the Galaxy M34 5G is running on a 5nm-based Exynos 1280 chip. This is the same chip that powers last year’s Galaxy A53 and A33 smartphones.
For Malaysia, we are only getting one RAM and storage configuration with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card.
For taking pictures, it gets a triple-camera setup that consists of a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro shooter. Upfront, it gets a 13MP selfie camera that’s housed in a U-shaped notch.
Keeping the lights on is a large 6,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging via USB-C. However, take note that the charger is sold separately.
Besides the handy micro-SD card slot, the Galaxy M34 5G still gets a 3.5mm headphone jack if you prefer to plug in your wired headphones. For greater peace of mind, Samsung is ensuring 4 generations of OS updates and 5-years of security patches for the Galaxy M34 5G.
