Unifi TV customers can rejoice as HBO will soon officially join the platform. Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and Unifi have taken their partnership to the next level by announcing the expansion of their collaboration locally.
Customers of Unifi TV will soon be able to enjoy four HBO channels with the Unifi TV Pack subscription. These new additions mean Unifi TV customers now have nine WBD channels to choose from.
The new channels are:
- HBO
- HBO Family
- HBO Hits
- Cinemax
Unifi TV customers will also get access to the HBO GO streaming service for on-the-go content consumption.

The new channels will be available as part of the Ultimate Plus and Ultimate Max pack subscription, joining HGTV and Cartoon Network which was added on Unifi TV in August. Netflix was recently made available for Unifi TV customers – either as a stand-alone subscription or part of the newly introduced Ultimate Max and Plus packs.
As a promotion, all Unifi TV Pack subscribers will be able to enjoy the four new channels as a 30-day free preview starting from 1 September. HBO GO meanwhile will be available to customers starting in October. There are no changes to the prices of the current TV packs available to subscribe.
Historically, HBO has had a strong association with Astro in Malaysia. However, with the introduction of HBO GO streaming app and channels on Unifi, it is highly likely that customers may switch from Astro to Unifi TV. The cheapest pack with Astro that includes the HBO channels and HBO GO costs RM94.99 a month , while Unifi TV’s Ultimate Plus pack is only RM69.90 a month, which will be a greater pull for those looking to cut down on their monthly bills.
