Realme 11 Pro+ 5G: Dimensity 7050, 512GB storage and 200MP camera, priced under RM2,000

Honor isn’t the only brand launching a new smartphone with a 200MP camera today. Fellow Chinese manufacturer Realme has released the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G to our shores, which just like the Honor 90 is an upper midrange smartphone that packs a 200MP main camera on the back.

Realme 11 Pro+ 5G Malaysia pricing and availability

The Realme 11 Pro+ 5G will be going on sale from 21 July onwards and is available in just one configuration with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Priced at RM1,999, you’ll be able to find it on sale at the official Realme store on Shopee and Lazada, as well as their brand stores and authorised dealers nationwide.

If you do opt to get the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G, those of you who do so on 21 July from their Lazada and Shopee store will be able to snag a 1-to-1 exchange warranty within the first 7 days, a 6-month extended warranty, a 0% interest instalment payment plan up to 6 months, and a chance to win a Realme Handheld Vacuum. Meanwhile, first day buyers at Realme physical brand stores will stand a chance to win a Gucci bag, while for the whole week buyers will also get a Realmeow figurine.

Realme 11 Pro+ 5G specs

The Realme 11 Pro+ 5G certainly has a unique look to it, having been designed by former Gucci Prints designer Matteo Menotto. It features a ‘lychee’ vegan leather finish on the back, with the design cues inspired by Milan, Italy. As for its display, you’ll find a 6.7-inch, curved AMOLED display, pushing an FHD+ resolution with an up to 120Hz refresh rate. It features full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and has a peak brightness of 950nits.

Under the hood, you’ll find a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 system-on-chip, a 6nm upper midrange processor, mated to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. At just under RM2,000, this makes it arguably the best value smartphone if your priority is getting at least 512GB of storage. It packs Android 13 out of the box, skinned with RealmeUI 4.0 over it.

In the camera department meanwhile is where the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G shines. It has a 200MP, f/1.69 main camera with optical image stabilisation using the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 1/1.4-inch sensor, which its in the center of a huge circular camera bump on the rear. This main camera also boasts 4x SuperZoom, with Realme claiming an up to 4x zoom without any loss in quality. That gets flanked by an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide camera along with a 2MP, f/2.4 macro lens while up front you’ll find a 32MP, f/2.45 selfie camera.

Other features of note include a 5,000mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, with Realme saying that it’ll take just 26 minutes for a zero-to-hundred charge. You’ll also find stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an under display fingerprint scanner and support for 5G, NFC, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The Realme 11 Pro+ 5G will be available in Sunrise Beige and Oasis Green.
