The Nothing Phone (2) has officially launched in Malaysia last week. If you missed the first drop on 15th July, Yes 5G is offering something extra when you get the Nothing Phone (2) with its Yes Infinite postpaid plans this coming Saturday. Yes 5G is the exclusive telco partner for Nothing and they are offering the flagship smartphone with illuminated back for free on its Infinite+ Ultra plan.
Yes 5G x Nothing Phone (2) Launch Edition
The Nothing Phone (2) officially goes on sale nationwide in Malaysia on 22nd July 2023. For the first 100 customers who purchase the phone with a postpaid plan at Yes Experience Store, Lot 10 on 22nd July at 10am onwards will receive a Launch Edition Set. This includes the Nothing Ear (Stick), 45W adapter and a Phone (2) case, which are worth almost RM700.

Nothing Phone (2) Yes 5G plans
To recap, the Nothing Phone (2) is offered in two configurations in Malaysia – 12GB RAM + 256GB for RM2,999 and the 12GB RAM + 512GB version for RM3,499. On Yes 5G, it appears that they are only offering the higher spec 512GB option for the Nothing Phone (2) and you can get it for free on a 36-month contract of Yes Infinite + Ultra. The plan which costs RM178/month offers unlimited 5G and 4G data with uncapped speed, unlimited calls and 110GB of hotspot.
If you don’t need a plan with so much hotspot data, the Nothing Phone (2) is also offered on its cheaper Yes Infinite Basic Plan without a contract. You can buy the phone at the full price of RM3,499 and Yes 5G offers a RM20 rebate for 12 months (Save RM240) for the Yes Infinite Basic Plan. This means you just need to pay RM38/month for the first 12 months and the plan also offers unlimited and uncapped 5G and 4G data, unlimited calls and 20GB of hotspot.
Nothing Phone (2) Malaysia Specs
To recap, the Nothing Phone (2) is now a slighter bigger than the Phone (2) and it has been upgraded from a mid-range to a flagship-class device. Upfront it gets a 6.7″ 120Hz Full HD+ OLED display that offers HDR10+ and a peak brightness of up to 1600 nits. Under the “semi-transparent” body is a capable Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with 12GB RAM and a choice of either 256GB or 512GB of storage.
For taking pictures, it gets an upgraded dual 50MP camera setup with a main and ultra-wide-angle shooter. Upfront, it gets a newer 32MP punch-hole selfie camera that’s now aligned in the centre instead of the top-left corner. Powering the Phone (2) is also a larger 4,700mAh battery with support for 45W fast wired charging, 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. There’s also IP54-rated splash resistance, dual-speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor and support for 5G, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 6.
