If you’re bored with normal candybar smartphones, here’s an interesting deal for a Samsung flip phone. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 can now be yours for less than RM2,000 thanks to a new promo online.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 which was launched two years ago with a RM4,199 price tag for the 256GB storage version is now going for only RM1,919. This offer is available via Urban Republic’s online store on Shopee and they are offering two colours – Cream and Phantom Black. According to the listing, the device comes with 1-year Samsung Malaysia Warranty.
Although the new Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to be announced sometime next month, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is still quite a decent flip phone for most casual users. This is Samsung’s 2nd generation flip phone and it features a 6.7″ 120Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display on the inside, while the cover gets a 1.9″ 260×512 pixels resolution AMOLED screen.
Under the hood, it runs on a Snapdragon 888 processor with 8GB of RAM and a choice of 128GB or 256GB of storage. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also one of Samsung’s first foldable devices to feature IPX8-rated water resistance and it also gets stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
For taking pictures, the cover gets two 12MP cameras for the main and ultra-wide-angle, while the inside gets a 10MP selfie camera that sits in a tiny punch-hole. Being a flip phone, you can take a selfie using the main camera while using the cover display to frame the shot.
Powering the device is a rather small 3,300mAh battery and it supports 15W fast charging via USB-C. It also gets 10W wireless charging as well as support for reverse wireless charging.
