After launching Southeast Asia’s first Apple Premium Partner Store located at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur last year, Machines has just unveiled its second Apple Premium Partner store at 1 Utama. In conjunction with the grand opening, Machines is running several promotions including discounts of up to RM4,000 for M1 Pro-powered MacBook Pro and Apple TV 4K from as low as RM299.
Malaysia’s second Apple Premium Partner store
The Apple Premium Partner (APP) store at 1 Utama is located at the mall’s “New Wing” at Level 2 (Lot S-309 & S-310). While it is at the same location as the previous store, an APP outlet is aimed at providing a more premium experience than your typical Apple reseller store. It is Apple’s new retail concept that is supposedly just one step below the full-fledged Apple Store that you see in Singapore and Thailand. Malaysia’s first official Apple Store is now expected to open sometime in early 2024 at The Exchange in TRX.
What’s different with an Apple Premium Partner store?
Besides carrying the “Premium Partner” logo and having a new retail space with brighter displays, the APP store is staffed with trained Apple-certified advisors to assist customers. One of the key differentiators is a dedicated corner in the store that’s exclusively focused on catering to the requirements of Small business customers. This is where business owners can get tailored advice, devices and promotions that are not available in other typical stores.
The APP store also has a spacious demo and workshop area, which is designed to invite customers to explore and interact with Apple’s lineup of products such as the iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, iMac, MacBook, Mac Studio and more. To learn how to get the most out of your Apple products, the store also organises workshops from time to time.
At the moment, the 1 Utama outlet is running a Workshop for iPad where visitors can learn how to use Adobe Lightroom. There are currently three sessions that are scheduled for 26th June, 29th June and 2nd July 2023.
If you’re interested in the Workshop for iPad, you can register online for a spot. Take note that each session is limited to 8 participants, and you are required to bring your own iPad and Apple Pencil to take part.
