[ UPDATE 19/10/2022 21:00 ] Machines is having a grand opening event for its Apple Premium Partner Store at Pavilion KL between 20th to 23rd October 2022.

While we are still waiting for the first Apple Store to open in Malaysia, it appears that Malaysia is home to a new kind of Apple store in the region. The Machines outlet at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur was recently reopened and turns out it’s the first Apple Premium Partner Store in South East Asia.

An Apple Premium Partner Store which is operated by an authorised partner supposedly offers a more premium experience than the typical Apple reseller store. This seems to be a new retail concept as the world’s first Apple Premium Partner Store was recently opened at Bahnhofplatz 1 in Zurich, Switzerland in August this year and it’s operated by DQ Solutions. Last week, it was reported that Czech’s Apple Premium Reseller iStyle is also opening its first Apple Premium Partner Store at Westfield Chodov, Prague on 14th October.

Besides having a fresh new look and brighter displays, these stores are also staffed with trained Apple-certified advisors to assist customers. It is one step below the full-fledged Apple Store that you’ll find in Singapore and Thailand. This should provide a better experience for customers to explore Apple’s wide range of products and get personalised advice and assistance. You can identify the store from the “Premium Partner” sign at the window.

The new Apple Premium Partner Store in Malaysia is located at 5.19 and 5.20, Level 5, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and it was opened on Malaysia Day.
