Apple has been doing special colour options for their iPhones for a while now, and this year is no different with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus getting a new yellow colourway. Cupertino showed it off just a couple of days ago, but Malaysians will already be able to pre-order it from 9pm today (10 March) onwards as Malaysia is among the first wave of countries to offer the yellow iPhone 14, alongside the US, UK, Singapore and Thailand.

While pre-orders will start later today at 9pm, full availability of the yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will begin on Tuesday, 14 March onwards. You’ll be able to pre-order them from the Apple Malaysia website, while you can also get it from other participating resellers after full availability. The yellow iPhone won’t cost you any more than a regular iPhone though; here’s how much the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus retail for in Malaysia:

Phone 14

  • 128GB – RM4,199
  • 256GB – RM4,699
  • 512GB – RM5,699

iPhone 14 Plus

  • 128GB – RM4,699
  • 256GB – RM5,199
  • 512GB – RM6,199

The bright yellow iPhone marks the return of the yellow colourway on an iPhone, with the last yellow iPhone being the iPhone 11 back in 2019; there was also a yellow iPhone XR the year before that. Last year, Cupertino gave its iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro devices an ‘alpine green’ option, while the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini saw a purple option appear months after it launched.

The new colourways don’t just give buyers more options of course, they also help Apple reinvigorate interest in the iPhone months after release. In total, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are now available in a total of six different colour options, ranging from Midnight (Black), Starlight (White), Purple, Blue, Product Red and now Yellow.
