BYD Atto 3 Malaysia: We test the 7.3sec 0-100km/h claim using the built-in timer

Last week, we told you of the BYD Atto 3‘s built-in acceleration timer, which we found out when we took the car. We’ve since shot the full review of the new electric SUV—which will be coming soon—and one of the things we tested was the century sprint, comparing it against BYD’s claimed figure.

Powered by a single motor that sends 201hp and 310Nm of torque to the front wheels, the Atto 3 is said to be capable of hitting the ton in 7.3 seconds. Testing it is simple—put the car into Sport mode using a toggle switch on the centre console, press the bottom left button on the right steering spoke, then use the scroll wheel to get to the timer.
