Celcom users in the northern region currently facing network issues

If you’re a Celcom user, you might have noticed some issues with your network today (27 Feb 2023), with the telco notifying its users on social media that customers in Ulu Perak, Penang, Kedah and Perlis in particular may encounter voice and data experience issues.

The problem apparently stems from a triple fibre cut, with Celcom’s network engineers currently working to fix it and restore services as soon as possible. Incidentally, the problem is not only affecting Celcom’s users, but also Xpax and Celcom’s MVNO partners such as Yoodo, TuneTalk, XOX and RedOne.

If you’re a Celcom user living up north, do let us know in the comments if the situation has been fixed or if the problem remains.
