Telekom Malaysia (TM) has just introduced its new Uni5G Postpaid offering which now offers 5G on postpaid for as low as RM39/month. This comes after TM revised its 5G prepaid offering with a cheaper RM25/month option and reduced FUP for its unlimited prepaid plan. At the moment, these plans are still listed as “Coming soon”.

As shown on Unifi Mobile’s postpaid page, the base Uni5G postpaid 39 plan at RM39/month offers 30GB of (4G+5G) high-speed data, 10GB of hotspot and unlimited calls. Moving up a notch is Uni5G postpaid 65 with a promo price of RM55/month (Normal: RM65/month) which offers double the (4G+5G) high-speed data at 60GB, 10GB of hotspot and unlimited calls.

TM is still offering an unlimited option with Uni5G Postpaid 89 at RM89/month which offers unlimited 4G+5G high-speed data, 10GB of hotspot and unlimited calls. As a comparison, the previous Unifi Mobile Ultimate Plan came with unlimited 4G and 5G data, unlimited calls and unlimited SMS cost RM59/month with a 12-month contract and RM79/month without a contract.

What’s missing is SMS which was previously bundled on the older postpaid plans. SMS usage is charged at 15 sen per message.

For the Uni5G Postpaid 39 and 65 customers, you can add more data quota at RM15 for 5GB or RM50 for 20GB. If you need more hotspot, you can purchase 10GB for RM30. These plans are offered without a contract.

According to the FAQ, there will be a supplementary plan called Uni5G Postpaid Supplementary 39 which is coming soon. Both Postpaid 89 and Supplementary 39 as well as the device add-on are not yet available and TM will reveal more info in the near future. The Postpaid 65 offer for RM55/month will be offered from 17th February until 30th April 2023. With these new plans, TM has discontinued its previous 4G-only postpaid plans.

If you’ve depleted your data on Unifi Postpaid 39 and 65, your speed will be throttled to 512kbps. You can learn more on Unifi Mobile’s postpaid page.

Thanks to @murtaza_mustafa for the tip!
