Last week during CES 2023, AMD brought out a slew of new products, headlined by its new lineup of Ryzen 7000X3D processors. These are the follow up to the ever popular Ryzen 7 5800X3D from last year, which was widely deemed their best ever gaming processor when it debuted. Needless to say, many PC gamers are eagerly awaiting for AMD to make their three new Ryzen 7000X3D chips available. However, AMD only said during their keynote that these chips would be available sometime in February 2023.

A new report from Overclock3D earlier today though highlighted that AMD’s website had seemingly finally published the release date for the Ryzen 7000X3D: 14 February 2023. That’s right, Valentine’s Day, because where else would single PC gamers spend their money that day right? Well not so fast, for as it turns out, AMD would remove the availability date shortly after it appeared. AMD then released a statement to PCWorld, telling them that the launch date for the Ryzen 7000X3D lineup was accidentally published, and that the date is given is wrong.

“As you know, today AMD.com briefly published a launch date for the Ryzen 7000X3D Series Desktop processors; however, that date is incorrect. We have not confirmed a launch date at this time. We will provide updates on the expected availability of these processors at a future date,” – AMD spokesperson

That being said, you can still expect AMD to launch the Ryzen 7000X3D lineup next month, as they had initially promised during CES 2023. If anything, it’s the pricing details that AMD is still keeping safely guarded, with no word yet on how much their new top tier gaming processors will cost.

For a quick recap, the Ryzen 7000X3D series will feature three processors, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D will pack an incredible 128MB of L3 cache, with a total of 16 cores and 32 threads running at 4.2GHz base clock and 5.7GHz boost clock. The Ryzen 9 7900X3D keeps that 128MB of L3 cache, but comes with 12 cores and 24 threads instead running at 4.4GHz base and 5.6GHz boost clocks. We also have the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, with 96MB of L3 cache and eight cores, 16 threads running at up to boosts of 5.0GHz. All of the Ryzen 7000X3D chips will have a 120W TDP.
