[UPDATE ] WTF is UTM’s logo for Financial Literacy and Career Development?

[ UPDATE 31/12/2022 11:50 ] UTM has issued a statement denying that the logo was designed by them and it was the official logo from PTPTN.

===

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has posted information on their program this year for financial literacy and career development on their online platforms. But the logo that has been featured on their post looks like it features an inappropriate word.

“Be informed that the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) in collaboration with the Deputy Vice Chancellor’s Department (Student Affairs) will hold a program called the Financial Literacy and Career Development Program (FLICK). This program is MANDATORY for PTPTN borrowers from Year 3 & Year 4 ONLY,” wrote the UTM Career Centre.

The program, meant for PTPTN borrowers at UTM, is held today and tomorrow—30 December and 31 December 2022. According to the schedule posted, the program will include motivational speeches, lectures about resume building, digital business, and other lectures.

The program was given “FLICK” as the short form version of “Financial Literacy and Career Development”. But I can’t put my finger on where the K in “FLICK” comes from. The logo made for the program also makes it look like a rude word, so I don’t know whether they’ve done this on purpose, or if they really aren’t able to see it.

The logo was also popular today on Twitter. However, seeing as I personally couldn’t find the original post anymore probably means that it’s been removed. For now, you can still see the logo on Facebook.
