The Realme C33 is a sub-RM600 smartphone with a 50MP camera

Realme has released a string of entry-level smartphones in the last couple of months, such as the Realme C30 and the Realme Narzo 50i Prime. Their latest one is now the Realme C33, which looks mostly like the Realme C30 with some pretty significant upgrades in the camera department.

Realme C33 Malaysia pricing and availability

The Realme C33 will come in just one variant, packing 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It will be priced at RM559, and is available for purchase from the Realme official store on Shopee and Lazada from 7 October onwards.

Realme C33 specs

As we mentioned earlier, the Realme C33 does seem to be a very similar device to the Realme C30, another entry-level device launched by them a couple of months ago. There’s a fairly similar 6.5-inch, HD+ IPS LCD display with a teardrop style notch offering an 88.7% screen-to-body ratio, with the overall body weighing in at 187g and measuring 8.3mm thick. You’ll also find the same Unisoc T612 processor under the hood with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage, running Android 12 out of the box.

The biggest upgrade on the Realme C33 over its predecessor though is arguably with its rear camera. Realme claims that this is the only smartphone in this price range to pack in a 50MP rear camera, with features such as Night Mode, HDR, timelapse and panoramic view functions too. Under it is a secondary sensor believed to be 0.3MP macro lens, according to the product page on the Realme India website. Meanwhile, the front camera is the same one found on the Realme C30, a 5MP, f/2.2 selfie shooter using a 1/5.0″ sensor.

Elsewhere, there’s a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging via a microUSB port, which Realme says will last you up to 37 days on standby mode, with an Ultra-Saving mode providing you 1.8 hours of call time even with just 5% of battery left. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a triple card slot along with support for WiFi 4 and Bluetooth 5.0. The Realme C33 will be available in two colours, Aqua Blue and Night Sea.
