Besides the Leica co-engineered camera phones, Xiaomi has also unveiled its Smart Band 7 Pro fitness band. Like the name suggests, this is the upgraded version of its popular Mi Band 7 and it gets a larger rectangular display similar to the Honor Band 6.

Upfront, it gets a 1.64″ 456×280 pixels AMOLED touch-screen display which seems to be slightly larger than the 1.62″ screen on the Smart Band 7. For a more upmarket look, it gets a slightly curved 2.5D glass and a metal frame that comes in either light gold or silver.

Since it gets a more practical screen size, the Smart Band 7 Pro comes with a host of watch faces and it also supports an Always-on Display. In China, it also supports Xiaomi’s Xiao Ai voice assistant as well as NFC for mobile payments directly from your wrist. Being a fitness tracker, it can track 117 sports modes and it has all the necessary sensors to monitor heart rate and blood oxygen saturation levels.

What sets the Smart Band 7 Pro apart from its previous fitness band is the support for built-in GPS. This allows you to track your outdoor workouts without carrying a phone with you. You can also take it for a swim as it comes with 5 ATM-rated water resistance.

The Smart Band 7 Pro gets a 235mAh battery which is rated to last up to 12 days with typical use or up to 6 days with heavy use. A full charge takes approximately one hour using the provided magnetic charging cable. The Smart Band 7 Pro is compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones. In China, it is officially priced at CNY 379 which is about RM250. As a comparison, the standard Smart Band 7 is officially priced at RM199 in Malaysia.
