Budget action camera for your bike | Ask Us Anything

Hello everyone, welcome back to another episode of Ask Us Anything where we gather your questions from the internet and answer them. In today’s episode, what are the best affordable over ear headphones in the market now? And what is the best budget bike cam that you can get for less than RM1,000? All of them and more on today’s video.

Can you use the Apple Watch SE to pump petrol using the Setel app?

Recently Setel by Petronas has announced an update which now allows you to pump petrol using only an Apple Watch. Rory and I did a video on that so you can check out more details there and I will put the link of the video in the description box below. But going back to your question, yes, the Apple Watch SE supports the Setel app. According to them, the app is supported on the Apple Watch Series 2 and above. So there shouldn’t be a problem using the Apple Watch SE.

What is the best budget over ear headphones?

If you are looking for something around RM500, there is the Sony WH-CH710N bluetooth wireless headphones. It is priced at RM549 and the best part is that it comes with noise cancellation, if that’s something that you want to look for on a headphones.

If that’s too much, you can also consider the Sony WH-CH510 and it is going for RM159. Unlike the previous one, this does not come with noise cancellation. But you can connect the headphones via Bluetooth so I guess that’s a plus.

What is the best budget action camera for your bike?

So one of my colleagues, Anep who owns a motorbike,  has suggested a couple of cameras that you can go for. But for the price that you are paying don’t expect it to be the best in quality because at the end of the day, these are not GoPros or DJIs. But if you are using these solely for safety, then these cameras should do the trick.

Number 1, the SJCAM100. This camera has a starting price of RM369 and it comes with a mircoSD slot. This is an ultra compact camera so there will not be any display on it. Instead, you will have to view your footage on a seperate app. Do bear in mind that the battery is not hot swappable either.

Number 2, we have the AKASO Brave 7. This camera here has a starting price of RM628. This is something like the DJI Action camera but on a budget. It has electronic image stabilization and also it is waterproof so you will not need an extra casing in case you need to ride your motorcycle in the rain.
