The Poco F3 which retails for RM1,399 for the 128GB model is going for RM999. Meanwhile, the 256GB version which retails for RM1,699 is going for RM1,099, which is a hefty RM600 discount. The sale will begin at midnight on Sunday, 27th March 2022 on Lazada. The device is offered in three colours – Arctic White, Night Black and Deep Ocean Blue.

Poco F3 Specs

The Poco F3 was launched in Malaysia almost exactly a year ago, and it remains one of the most value for money flagships you can buy. It gets a 6.67″ Full HD+ AMOLED display that pushes a 120Hz refresh rate and it runs on a old but still reliable Snapdragon 870 processor with 5G support. The device can be configured with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage which isn’t expandable.

For taking pictures, it gets a modest triple-camera setup consisting of a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5MP macro shooter. For selfies, the punch-hole on the screen houses a 20MP front camera.

The Poco F3 also features dual-speakers for stereo audio playback, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi 6 and an IR Blaster. Unfortunately, there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack, which is to be expected for most new flagship devices.

The device is powered by a 4,520mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging via USB-C. Out of the box, it runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12 for Poco skin on top.

It was recently speculated that Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Poco F4 and it is likely to be a rehashed Redmi K40S. The K40S doesn’t seem to be a huge upgrade over the current Poco F3 as it gets also gets a 6.67″ 120Hz AMOLED display and runs on the same Snapdragon 870 chip with 5G. The battery is also similar at 4,500mAh but it has faster 67W fast charging support.

If you’re looking for a brand new Poco device priced under RM1,000, there’s the Poco X4 Pro 5G. It is identical to the Redmi Note 11S, featuring a 6.4″ 90Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display, MediaTek Helio G96 chip without 5G, and a large 5,000mAh battery.
