Digi’s affordable Prepaid Next 15 plan now upgraded with double the data

Besides the postpaid plans, Digi has also upgraded its Prepaid Next plans which now offer more data than before. If you enable auto-renewal, Digi Prepaid Next users can enjoy more perks including extra data for hotspot and unlimited data for popular social media apps.

To recap, Digi Prepaid Next was introduced in June 2020 offering monthly data plans from as little as RM15/month. The data quota for the base Digi Prepaid Next 15 is now upgraded from 3GB to 6GB which is valid for 30 days. If you enable auto-reload, Digi is offering an additional 1GB of data for hotspot usage and unlimited social data which covers TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

If you’re a Malaysian student born between 1997 to 2009, Digi is also offering Pakej Belia Khas prepaid which offers 15GB of data for RM20/month. Digi is also offering 1GB of extra data for hotspot and unlimited data for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook if you enable auto-renewal for Pakej Belia Khas.

New Digi Prepaid Next

Meanwhile, Digi Prepaid Next 30 which costs RM30/month is now upgraded from 15GB to 20GB data and you can get 2GB of extra hotspot and unlimited social if you enable auto-renewal.

The higher Digi Prepaid Next RM35/month remains unchanged as it comes with 30GB of high-speed data and unlimited calls. However, if you enable auto-renewal, Digi is adding 3GB extra data for hotspot and you also get to enjoy the same unlimited social data perk.

Digi is also offering extra boosters if you need more data, voice calls, unlimited packs, and hotspot via the MyDigi app. Here’s how much their add-ons cost:

  • 1.5GB data – RM3
  • 3GB data – RM5
  • 6GB data – RM8
  • 10GB data – RM10
  • 60 minutes voice calls – RM5
  • Unlimited voice calls – RM10
  • Unlimited Music – RM3
  • Unlimited Video – RM20
  • 20GB hotspot for RM15

Unfortunately, we can’t seem to find any Fair Usage Policy (FUP) for the unlimited data offering on their website. Digi’s new product page doesn’t really tell much and their FAQs are not really up to date.

According to Digi, the unlimited data for social is capped at 3Mbps and there’s an FUP of 999GB which is more than enough for most users. If you didn’t buy any add-ons, voice calls are charged at 15 sen per minute (60 seconds block) while SMS is charged at 10 sen each.

If you’re new to Digi, the Digi Prepaid Next SIM is offered for free when you purchase it online with a Prepaid Next plan. For more info, you can visit Digi Prepaid Next’s website.
