Apple Fitness+ is finally available in Malaysia after almost a year since its initial launch in December 2020. It is a fitness subscription service for Apple Watch users and it provides visual workouts and guides that they can follow using their iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.

Apple Fitness+ Malaysian Pricing

Fitness+ subscription is officially priced at RM19.90/month in Malaysia. To save more, you can go for the Fitness+ annual plan that costs RM119.90/year, which is about the price of a 6-month subscription. For first-time users, Apple is offering the first month for free. If you recently bought an Apple Watch (starting 15th September 2021), you can get 3 months free subscription by redeeming the offer within 3 months after the first activation of the Watch.

For users who are already using Apple’s services such as iCloud and music streaming, Apple has also introduced the Apple One Premier plan option for Malaysian users and it bundles 5 services at a single price. For RM69.90/month, you can enjoy Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, 2TB iCloud+ and Apple Fitness+, which you can share with up to 5 other people.

How to activate Fitness+?

Fitness+ is available for Apple Watch Series 3 and above, running on watchOS 7.2 or later. You will also need to use the Fitness app on your iPhone with iOS 15, iPad with iPadOS 15 or Apple TV with tvOS 15.

To get started, launch the Fitness app on your iPhone and you should see a new “Fitness+” tab. If you can’t find it, you might need to restart your device. For iPad users, you should see Fitness+ right away when you launch the app.

Apple Fitness+ offers a variety of workouts and fitness programmes covering yoga, HIIT, pilates, treadmill, dance, cycling, core and rowing. Take note that some programmes may require extra equipment such as dumbbells, a yoga mat, stationary bike, rowing machine or a treadmill.

While working out, you can track your progress such as your heart rate, duration, calories burned on screen as you follow the trainers during the programme. You can also use it in a group via SharePlay which lets you work out with up to 32 people. You can learn more on the official page.
