Astro announces that their Dynasty Pack customers are now able to enjoy free access to Hong Kong entertainment online through the TVBAnywhere+ app (iOS, Android, Huawei AppGallery). The premium access is usually RM39.90 a month.
“TVB has been our long-term strategic partner and we are thrilled to bring its premium streaming service, TVBAnywhere+ to our Dynasty Pack customers as a value-added proposition. In the digital era where consumers prefer to access rich content choices in a fast, convenient and seamless manner, having TVBAnywhere+ as a key addition to our OTT streaming offerings enables us to further deepen our engagement with our audiences,” said Wong Siah Ping, Vice President of Astro Chinese Customer Business.
The free access to the TVBAnywhere+ app includes VOD Zone—which lets you watch the latest drama episodes available within 1 hour after the premiere in Hong Kong. It also includes Channel Zone—5 live TVB linear channels with 3 hours playback function. The channels are:
Other features you can access through TVBAnywhere+ are how one account can be shared with two users, and the ability to download videos for offline viewing—which can be stored for up to 30 days. According to Astro, the app offers “an extensive library of over 40,000 hours of the biggest Cantonese entertainment”. Viewers can watch the content in multiple audio-options on the app, including Cantonese and Mandarin, whilst subtitles will be available in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and English.
If you’re already an Astro Dynasty Pack customer, you can straightaway login to the TVBAnywhere+ app by clicking the “log in with Astro” button on the login page. It will then take you to a page where you would need to type in your Astro ID, where you would also need to link the account to the app. They will then ask for your email. Once you finish setting up, you should be good to go—but you can find more information here if you need it.
TVBAnywhere+ is the latest addition to Astro’s line-up of app partnerships. The other partnerships include HBO GO, Disney+ Hotstar, iQIYI and soon to be launched Netflix.
