New Galaxy Z Fold 3 leaks reveal where to stow the S Pen as Samsung continues to tease us

Another day, another new leak surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. This time, we’ve gotten new images of the upcoming foldable device in its Phantom Black colourway.

Coming from the German website WinFuture, the new batch of leaks show the Galaxy Z Fold 3 both folded and unfolded. It pretty much lines up with everything we’ve seen already based on previous leaked renders of the device. On the cover of the smartphone, you can see the three cameras plus the selfie camera on the secondary display, while you can try to spot the 4MP under-display camera on the 7.6-inch main display too.

As for the purported hardware inside the Galaxy Z Fold 3, it’s pretty much expected to come with everything we’re accustomed to seeing in an Android flagship these days. This means the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 is expected to make an appearance, along with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The OLED displays are also expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate, while there’s also IPX8 water resistance, a first for Samsung’s line of foldables. Many are also awaiting to see the new Fold Edition S Pen that would be announced along with it.

Speaking of the S Pen, we also now know where Samsung wants us to keep it. Thanks to a separate leak, we’ve seen renders of the Samsung S Pen case for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It has an additional pocket on the spine of the case where you can place your stylus in it. It does have to said though that it makes the device look quite bulky.

Meanwhile, Samsung has continued its promotion of the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event with a new teaser for what must be the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Even featuring a cameo from the beloved Nokia 3310, it asks the question ‘is good good enough?’ and gives us a tiny glimpse of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 unfolding in an Inception-like CGI scene near the end.

You’ll be able to see the actual device unfolding very soon, as the Galaxy Unpacked event will be happening on 11 August, 10pm Malaysian time. It will be streamed on the Samsung website and the Samsung Newsroom. You can also check out the original announcement post about it for more details.
