COVID-19: New deaths jump to 107 today, 2,312 deaths recorded in June so far

Malaysia has recorded 6,437 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 745,703. There are 107 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 5,108.

The Ministry of Health has reported 5,298 new recoveries and a total of 677,751 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 90.89% while the mortality rate is now 0.68%.

There are currently 62,844 active cases remaining that are receiving treatment. ICU usage remains high with 905 cases and 455 of them require respiratory support.

Out of the 6,437 new cases today, 14 are imported while 6,423 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 2,299 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 1,361 cases, Negeri Sembilan with 700 cases and Kedah with 284 cases.
