Beats Studio Buds offer up 8 hours of battery life, ANC and it’s also Android-friendly

Beats has officially introduced its Beats Studio Buds, its latest True Wireless Earbuds that offer active noise cancellation (ANC), sweat resistance and a total of 24 hours of battery life with the case included. The design of the case looks similar to the AirPods Pro but the earbuds themselves are rather compact weighing just 5.1g per side.

According to Beats, the Studio Buds are designed and engineered to offer high-quality audio and comfort. It features 8.2mm dual-element diaphragm drivers with a two-chamber acoustic design. It uses an in-ear design and it comes with 3 different replaceable tips for the right fit. If you’re an Apple Music user, it also supports immersive Spatial Audio for tracks that are mixed in Dolby Atmos.

The Studio Buds support Active Noise Cancellation and there’s also Transparency Mode which pipes in audio via the external mics. You can switch between ANC and Transparency mode by long-pressing the “b” button on the earbud.

On a single charge, it can support up to 5 hours of listening time with ANC turned on or up to 8 hours with ANC turned off. The case provides two additional charges which is a total of up to 24 hours of playback without ANC or up to 15 hours with ANC turned on. It charges only via USB-C and a quick 5-minute charge can provide up to 1 hour of music playback.

For a hands-free experience, the Studio Buds support “Hey Siri” voice commands and it also supports the FindMy feature on iOS. Despite being owned by Apple, the Buds also support one-touch pairing for Android and you can access more features with the Beats Android app. There’s also IPX4-rated water resistance which can withstand sweat and occasional splashes.

At the moment, the Beats Studio Buds isn’t available in Malaysia yet but it’s already listed on the Apple Online Store for RM629. It’s available in Red, Black and White. If you prefer the Apple AirPods Pro, it is now going for RM875 while the Beats Powerbeats Pro is now going for RM799.
