COVID-19: 109 deaths and 7,452 new cases today, there are now 85,607 active cases

Malaysia has recorded 7,452 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 610,574. There are 109 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 3,291.

The Ministry of Health has reported 6,105 new recoveries and a total of 521,676 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 85.44% while the mortality rate is at 0.54%.

There are currently 85,607 active cases remaining that are receiving treatment. 886 are in ICU while 446 require respiratory support.

Out of the 7,452 new cases today, 8 are imported while 7,444 are transmitted locally. Selangor continues to record the most with 2,509 cases, followed by Negeri Sembilan with 843 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 678 cases and Sarawak with 651 cases.
