The Poco M3 Pro 5G is now official and this is the most affordable new 5G smartphone that you can buy in Malaysia. During the upcoming 6.6 sale, the device can be yours for less than RM600.
Here’s the official retail price for the Poco M3 Pro 5G in Malaysia:
The device comes in 3 colours – Poco Yellow, Power Black and Cool Blue. It will go on sale exclusively on the Poco official store on Shopee starting this Sunday, 6th of June 2021. It is worth pointing out that a similarly specced Redmi Note 10 5G is also priced at RM799 but you get 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.
As an early bird promo, you can get RM100 off during the 6.6 flash sale on Shopee. The Poco M3 Pro 5G 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant can be yours for only RM599 while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version is going for RM699.
The Poco M3 Pro 5G comes with a 6.5″ Full HD+ LCD display that pushes a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device runs on a 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip which supports 5G connectivity. It uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
In terms of cameras, it looks similar to the previous Poco M3. It gets a rudimentary triple-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP main shooter and two 2MP cameras for depth and macro. For selifes, the tiny punch-hole on the screen houses an 8MP front camera. Unlike the Poco M3, this device appears to lack stereo speakers but it still retains a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for instant unlocking.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery and it supports 18W fast charging via USB-C. Also included is a 3.5mm headphone jack, IR blaster and NFC. Out of the box, it runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12 for Poco skin on top.
