You can now buy the new Apple TV 4K in Malaysia, price starts at RM849

Since Apple’s announcement of the new Apple TV 4K back in April, we’ve been waiting for it to land on our shores, and it seems as tho it finally has. On the Apple Malaysia website, the Apple TV 4K has been priced starting at RM849 for the 32GB model, while the 64GB model will set you back RM949.

It does also come with a year of Apple TV+ included, which would normally be RM19.99/month. Meanwhile, if you want to add on three years of AppleCare for your Apple TV 4K, it will set you back an additional RM99. If you order it from the Apple Malaysia website, it will be shipped for free within one business day too.

As a reminder, the second generation Apple TV 4K has an A12 Bionic chip powering it, with support for high framerate HDR and 60fps Dolby Vision. If you have an Apple One subscription, the more powerful hardware would also let you make use of Apple Arcade. You could also use the Apple TV 4K with an iPhone’s light sensors to improve the picture quality. The Siri Remote also got an update, featuring both physical and touch control buttons.

It does seem to be a tad more expensive than perhaps what some might have expected though, as the Apple TV 4K was launched in the U.S. for USD179 for the 32GB model, which is roughly RM741, compared to the RM849 it’s currently listed for on Apple Malaysia.
