Oppo Malaysia has officially unveil its A74 5G, its entry-level 5G smartphone. During the Shopee Super Brand Day Sale, the 5G device can be yours for less than RM1,000.
The Oppo A74 5G is officially priced at RM1,099 and it comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. If you purchase the phone from Shopee between the 28th April until 4th May, Oppo Malaysia is bundling the Oppo Enco W11 wireless earbuds (RRP: RM159), 1-year screen warranty protection, RM20 Shopee Pay rebate and 30% off when you add-on an Oppo Band (RRP: RM159).
Oppo is also offering the A74 5G for only RM999 on Shopee if you get it from the 5th to 7th May 2021. The device is available in two colours – Space Silver and Fluid Black.
The Oppo A74 5G features a 6.5″ Full HD+ LCD display that pushes a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G processor with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
In the camera department, the gets a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 2MP depth camera and 2MP macro shooter. The tiny punch-hole on the screen, houses a 16MP selfie shooter.
The A74 5G gets a 5,000mAh battery and it supports 18W fast charging via USB-C. This 5G device comes with dual-SIM slots, 3.5mm headphone jack and it supports 802.11ac WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. Out of the box, it runs on ColorOS 11.1 that’s based on Android 11.
The closest competitor when it comes to budget 5G smartphones is the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. It was launched with a retail price of RM1,199 but it went on sale for as low as RM999. While it shares a similar 6.5″ Full HD+ 90Hz display, the Nord N10 runs on a higher-spec Snapdragon 690 5G SoC.
