Vivo V21 Malaysia: Everything you need to know

Vivo Malaysia has just announced its new V21 mid-range series which is now available for pre-order. Available in both Qualcomm and MediaTek variants, the V21 series is priced from RM1,299.

Pricing and availability

Below is the official pricing for the V21 series in Malaysia:

  • Vivo V21e (8GB RAM + 128GB storage) – RM1,299
  • Vivo V21 (8GB RAM + 128GB storage) – RM1,599

Pre-orders are now available until 4th May 2021 and Vivo is providing extra freebies worth up to RM699. This include a RM50 instant rebate, protection plus (1 year extended warranty + 1 year screen crack protection) and premium gifts, while stocks last.

If you’re interested, you can pre-order via the official store on Lazada and Shopee. Both ecommerce platforms offer RM50 in either rebate or cashback when you pay using their Wallet.

Vivo V21

The Vivo V21 features a 6.44″ Full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor. It is equipped with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card. For better performance, the device also gets Vivo’s Extended RAM technology where you can gain additional “3GB RAM” using the device’s storage.

In the camera department, the device gets a triple-camera setup that consists of a 64MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, the device comes with 44MP front camera that also gets OIS. In addition, the V21 also features two front-facing LED flash which is well hidden when it’s not in use.

In terms of connectivity, this 4G phone supports 5GHz WiFi as well as Bluetooth 5.1. The V21 comes with a 4,000mAh battery and it supports 33W (11V/3A) fast charging via USB-C. It runs on Android 11 with FunTouch OS 11 skin on top.

Vivo V21e

If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, the V21e is priced at RM300 lower and it runs on a Snapdragon processor. Upfront, it also gets a 6.44″ Full HD+AMOLED display but it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G under the hood. Similar to the V21, you also get 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage which is also expandable.

In terms of cameras, the rear also features a triple-camera setup with a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro shooter, while the front gets a single 44MP selfie shooter. Unlike the V21, this device doesn’t come with OIS for both front and back.

The V21e still retains a 4,000mAh battery and it also supports 33W fast charging via USB-C. However, it does come with a 3.5mm headphone jack. This is also a 4G LTE device and it supports 5GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1.
