Launching in Malaysia on Star Wars Day—May the 4th—are the new Yoda-themed Adidas Stan Smith sneakers, and they will be on sale for RM549. The shoes have little green details akin to Yoda himself, as well as the character’s iconic line “Do Or Do Not, There Is No Try”—and yes they’re tight as heck.

Adidas described the sneakers as “classic sneakers for fans of Yoda from Star Wars”. The shoes are also made with recycled materials “as part of Adidas’ commitment to help end plastic waste”—because, and I quote—“a green future is our best future”.

The Adidas Stan Smith Star Wars Shoes are made of Primegreen, a series of recycled materials that contain recycled polyester. It plays a significant role for Adidas’ goal to reach more than 50% total volume of recycled polyester by the end of 2020.

As for its design, it is the classic Stan Smith sneakers, named after the American tennis player. The Yoda shoes are a part of Originals x Disney, a Stan Smith collection. Other shoes in the collection include the Mike Wazowski ones, and the Kermit ones.

The Adidas Stan Smith Star Wars Shoes aren’t the only Yoda-themed Adidas shoes. In September 2020, the company launched the Star Wars Ultraboost Yoda. The release was to celebrate the 40th anniversary of episode V “Empire Strikes Back”.

But if you’re more of a Baby Yoda fan, The Child Superstar was released to celebrate the return of ‘The Mandalorian’. The shoes were a part of a massive nine-shoe collection by Adidas, but they’re currently not available anymore.
