COVID-19: 2,690 new cases today, there are now 23,753 active cases remaining

Malaysia has recorded 2,690 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 392,942. There are 10 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,436.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,853 new recoveries and a total of 367,753 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 93.59% while the mortality rate is at 0.37%.

There are currently 23,753 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 283 are in ICU while 121 require respiratory support.

Out of the 2,690 new cases today, 10 are imported while 2,680 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most today with 751 cases, followed by Sarawak with 595 cases, Kelantan with 424 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 217 cases.
