HUAWEI just announced five new laptops under their MateBook series for 2021. This includes the MateBook 14, MateBook D14, MateBook D15 10th Edition, MateBook D15 11th Edition and the MateBook X Pro. With the Malaysian sales launch for this new series of laptops coming up, here are five reasons you should be paying close attention to this year’s iteration of MateBooks.
The new HUAWEI MateBook 2021 series boasts powerful performance across its line-up. Equipped with 11th Gen Intel Core Processors, benchmark tests have shown an up to 42.6% increase in multi-threaded performance while being more power efficient than previous MateBook entries.
In terms of storage and memory, the HUAWEI MateBook 2021 series comes with up to 16GB of dual-channel 3200MHz DDR4 memory and NVMe PCIe SSD storage. Having more RAM and storage will affect how quick your laptop is, as well as how well it performs when it comes to multitasking. And 16GB of RAM is often more than enough for most conventional workloads.
Designed with a “Smartphone way of thinking”, HUAWEI’s focus on a more seamless user experience is certainly apparent with nifty features such as the 2-in-1 fingerprint reader and power button combo. The minimalist design and approach, saves users all the hassle of keying in their password by instantly authenticating their identity when turning on the device and providing a more secure and convenient way to access their laptops with a single press of the button.
The importance of a visual experience is not lost to HUAWEI. They have employed a FullView Display across their MateBook lineup to give users an industry leading screen-to-body ratio of up to 91% and edge-to-edge screens. This ensures an immersive viewing experience making these laptops ideal for work or play.
If you find extra cables and cloud transfers a grievance when sharing files between Android and Windows devices, the improved HUAWEI Share and Multiscreen Collaboration will be quite the boon as you’ll just need to tap your supported HUAWEI smartphone on your HUAWEI MateBook and watch them both sync seamlessly together. New this year is the integration of the OneTap feature into the touchpads of the MateBook 14 and MateBook X Pro so you can just tap your HUAWEI device there and you’re good to go.
Additionally, HUAWEI Share has been updated to now support the ability to run and display up to three mobile apps on the PC, giving the added advantage of efficiently working across multiple mobile applications. HUAWEI’s PC Manager also offers an array of smart features and shortcuts such as the Instant Hotspot and Screen Recording that serve as great productivity add-ons.
With good battery life becoming a prerequisite for most notebook enthusiasts, users will be thrilled that the new MateBooks are said to have an average battery life of 10 hours video playback on a single charge, thanks to HUAWEI’s Intelligent Power Saving Technology.
You can purchase the Huawei MateBook 2021 series on the HUAWEI Online Store, participating HUAWEI Experience Store, and participating HUAWEI Partner Stores such as Senheng, SenQ, Harvey Norman and Courts.
