The Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones are one of the best over-ear headphones in the market with active noise cancellation. If you’re looking for something extra special, Sony has announced a limited edition Silent White version in conjunction with Sony’s 75th Anniversary.
According to Sony Malaysia, the Silent White version of the WH-1000XM4 is officially priced at RM1,799. That’s RM200 more than the current retail price of the Black and Platinum Silver options. If you’re interested, it will be available starting from May 2021 at Sony Store KLCC and The Curve, as well as Sony’s Online Store.
So what are you getting for the extra RM200? According to Sony, the limited edition headphones get an additional coat of pearlescent paint which promises to be more stain-resistance and is able to retain its high-quality white colour.
All accompanying accessories including the carry case, cables and adapter also come in white. If you look closely, the headphones also feature a few gold highlights for the logo and upward facing microphone grill.
The rest of the hardware remains unchanged. You still get the same 40mm audio drivers and HD noise cancelling QN1 processor with dual noise sensor technology. It also boasts up to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge and it supports both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. You can learn more about its features on our announcement post.
If you’re not too concerned about the colours, you can probably wait for the next mega online sale where WH-1000XM4 is usually offered for less than RM1,000.
