ByteDance is looking for TikTok content moderators in Malaysia

If you’re looking for a career opportunity which involves TikTok, this might be something worth checking out. ByteDance currently has 6 job openings based in Kuala Lumpur which handles content moderation, review and operations.

The positions include Content Moderator, Content Review Team Leader, Content Labelling Operation Specialist, Content Operation Labeling Trainer and Livestream Content Operation Specialist. These roles mainly look into the content that are published on TikTok to ensure that it complies with local policies, regulations and culture, as well as to handle complaints and reports by users and the community.

For the Content Moderator role, they are looking for individuals with a minimum one year experience in content moderation, BPO or call centre environment with relevant working experience. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

As highlighted in the job description, you are required to be able to work in different work rotations or shifts. Since the job requires you to review content submitted by users, applicants are required to be comfortable with reviewing content that may be deemed inappropriate or contain explicit materials.
