COVID-19: 1,510 new cases and 8 deaths today, total active cases rise to 15,059

Malaysia has recorded 1,510 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 359,117. There are 8 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,321.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,248 new recoveries and a total of 342,737 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is at 95.44% while the mortality rate is at 0.37%.

There are currently 15,059 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 194 are in ICU while 81 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,510 new cases today, 5 are imported while 1,505 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 415 cases, followed by Sarawak with 296 cases, Kelantan with 171 cases and Sabah with 131 cases.

A total of 9 new clusters have been identified today and 6 are workplace related. Below is the list new COVID-19 clusters in the country:

A total of 57 clusters have recorded new cases today. The Sungai Kluang Empat cluster recorded the most with 30 new cases, followed by Rich Park cluster with 28 cases and Kampung Belaoh cluster with 24 cases.
