KFC is holding their own bid for an actual plate after JPJ’s successful car plate bids

JPJ ended their online auction of KFC car registration plates on 17 February 2021, and ended up collecting over RM2 million from bidders. Wanting to “join in on the fun”, KFC Malaysia announced that they too will be holding their first ever open bidding for a single limited-edition KFC Original Plate—starting today at 11am until 11pm on the KFC Facebook page.

“Here at KFC Malaysia, we want you to know that we share your love for KFC and we’re pleased to increase the excitement with our very own KFC Original Plate up for bid. The plate design features ‘KFC 11’ mimicking the car registration plate number and at the same time represents the brand’s iconic 11 secret herbs and spices,” said Evelyn Ng, Deputy General Manager Marketing at KFC Malaysia.

The bid for this one-and-only plate opens at RM11, with a minimum increase of RM1—similar to what we’ve got going right now on our own Facebook page. The highest bidder for the plate will be deemed the winner.

100% of the proceeds from the winning bid will go towards KFC Add Hope Malaysia. The initiative aids in fighting world hunger under the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and help local beneficiaries including charity homes, NGOs, government bodies and underprivileged families across Malaysia.

You can start bidding today until 11pm. To bid, type in “KFC RMXX” in the comments of this post, depending on how much you’d like to bid. Read the terms and conditions here.

KFC Malaysia will keep you posted on the details on how to participate. The winner will also be announced on the same day.

If you’re in the mood for more bids, you can check out our own Lelong Je Lah! auction posts on our SoyaCincau Facebook page. The 100 items are from our own inventory, are brand new, and are up for bid until the 1st of March 2021, 11:59pm.
