Huawei MateBook D14 Intel Edition arrives in Malaysia, priced at RM3,399

If you’re looking for a new laptop for Work From Home, Huawei Malaysia has finally released the Intel version of its MateBook D14 2020 series. It looks identical to the Ryzen 7 3700U variant but this comes with a 10th gen Intel Core i5 processor under the hood.  

Pricing and availability

The Huawei MateBook D14 Intel Edition is officially priced at RM3,399 in Malaysia and it will be available from Friday, 26th February 2021 at 10.00am. Buyers will also get a Huawei Bluetooth mouse worth RM249 for free and while stocks last.

At the moment, there’s only a single spec option that comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. In terms of colours, it’s only available in Mystic Silver. If you’re interested, you can order online via the official Huawei Online Store and Shopee.

Hardware Specs

The MateBook D14 features a 14″ Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display that has slim 4.8mm bezels for the top and sides. The lid can open up to 180-degrees and overall, it’s 15.9mm thin and it weighs 1.38kg.

Under the hood, it runs on an Intel Core i5-10210U processor that’s mated to 8GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM and has 512GB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage. It also comes with Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics.

Similar to what you get on the newer range of Huawei laptops, it also has a power button with integrated fingerprint sensor and a pop-up 1MP webcam that’s integrated into the keyboard. If you have a compatible Huawei device, it also supports multi-screen collaboration via Huawei Share.

In terms of ports, it comes with a single USB-C port that’s also used for charging, two USB-A ports, a HDMI output and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The MateBook D14 also supports 802.11ac 2×2 MIMO WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0.

The MateBook D14’s 56Wh Lithium Polymer battery is rated to last up to 9.5 hours of 1080p video playback on a single charge. It also supports fast charging with the supplied 65W USB-C charger and it is rated to push 46% charge in just 30 minutes. Out of the box, it ships with Windows 10 Home Edition.
